There are a few apartment complexs around town, but not a lot. Some people live above their stores. But you can find them here.

High school is always that pit stop before something bigger. It's clique and drama central, but it isn't forever. Those who are famous here may be nobodies in the real world. They can then be laughed at by the former nobodies that now employ them.

Built in the 1920s, Jones Library has the feeling of sitting at home while reading. The original building was enlarged in 1993 but the cozy at-home feel remains the same. There's just about every book you could possibly imagine here. Best for those late night studies and easy reading atmosphere.

Puffers Pond is a favorite hangout for students from the University of Massachusetts, as well as other locals. The pond stays perpetually fresh due to being fed by a stream and has a large waterfall on the opposite end. Also there are plenty of trails for all joggers alike.

Leave golf to the old men, it's the country club that everyone bites at the bit for. Luxurious rooms, flowing drinks, and the most lavish of service, CHCC is members only or invite only. Very exclusive and very tempting.

Neon is the newest, hottest nightclub to hit the Amherst region. It's big on flashing lights, steamy dance floors, and electric colored drinks, all with a blind eye to IDs. Neon is where you can party as hard as you like, as long as it doesn't fall back on them.

An authentic Irish Pub (shut up Rob) that was opened not to long ago in Armherst. If your looking for good booze in a great atmosphere this is the place.

Built in 1879, ACAC is one of the biggest providers of the arts in Amherst. Art galleries, classes, and the biggest cinema playing all of the greatest independent films you can imagine.

Having arisen from the ashes of fires on three different occasions, these "phoenix" shops have become somewhat of an attraction. The shops range in what they sell, but they tend to be much more popular among tourists.

Now most people don't have an appreciation for the dead, but for those who need to pay their respects or find some quiet time, there's no better place.

Every town needs a little backup every once in a while. Even in a small town things can get a little tense. Some are your average, run of the mill cops, while others are more corrupt than they let on. So depending on who pulls you over you may be able to flirt your way out of a very expensive parking ticket.

There are always great places to eat in Amherst. Seafood is a major specialty but there are so many cultures that you're bound to find anything your stomach desires.
